1.Get To Know Your Bird

The top first step to teach your bird to talk is to bond with your feathered friend. It is true that not all bird species have the ability to talk.Even those who have the ability to talk ,sometimes they also do not want to use their ability.I would suggest you to first of all do a bit research .Determine if your birdie has a ability to talk or not. Some birds are famous for their talking talents.Remember you should not expect more from your pet than it is capable of.

2.Choose Few Short Words

bird

The great way to teach your bird to speak is to choose a few short words for them at the beginning.

For Example: hi,bye bye,or you can call your bird name like hello motto!!!.Simple words spoke with great enthusiasm, seem to get more interesting to most birds.Always make sure when you speak to your bird, you have a happy mood and happy tone.As you speak watch your bird. You will notice that your some words will catch your bird’s attention more than others.Use those words alot that your birdie respond most while you are training it to speak.

3.Repeat the Word or Phase

Once you have found out the word your bird is interested in.Repeat that word as often as you can.Saying the word over and over again is the only way to confident your bird to say it back.

It is ideal for owners to teach their pets directly.Although some owners use other tools like tape recorders and CD’s for teaching purpose. These tool are good and can be effective but they are not substitute for one-on-one interaction. You should use them only as a supplementary training help.

4.Have Patience For Teaching Your Bird To Speak

bird

The quickest method to encourage your pet to talk is to make a daily routine and work with it daily. This method is not guaranteed to work. Some birds pick up on human words quickly.Whereas some fowls take months or some times even years to speak their first word. Some birds will never talk. Some times owners who had worked hard with their bird ends up with no results at all.

If you think that your fowl is taking too much time with his speech training. You should then try to teach him some thing little bit easier. For example whistling. Many birdies find whistling easier then mimicking speech.

With love, alot of practice, patience and training time, most birds learn to speak something.

If your birdie never speaks a single human word you should not feel insulted.Speech therapy, interactivity and socialization help to build up the bond between you and your birdie. So if your bird remains quiet, you can still guarantee that you will get a loving and fascinating companion out of the deal.
